Season 7 of Doctor Who

Well, this Saturday (the 25th), the new season of Doctor Who will be shown. According to IMDb, these are the titles for the episodes:

Asylum of the Daleks

Dinosaurs on a Spaceship

A Town Called Mercy

The Power of Three

The Angels take Manhattan

(Then there are a few unknown ones)

The Crimson Horror

(And more unknown ones)

Also, sometime in September (I think the 27) another modern Sherlock show will be showing on CBS. I’m not sure whether or not to be excited for this one…Anyways, It’s called Elementary. It’s set in New York City, and Watson is…a girl? I’ll try not to make any judgements until I see the first episode.

A Brony

I am feeling slightly sad for myself right now. Why might you ask? I am watching a show for ten year old girls.

My Little Pony.

My main excuse is that it was created by the wife of Craig McCracken (Sorry for butchering your name Craig) who made The Powerpuff Girls. I like that show kind of a lot. Also it’s kind of nice to feel like a kid. It helps that my ten year old brother is sitting next to me.

I don’t feel totally guilty because I know there are grown men who watch the show(Bronies) but still I feel kind of silly when I hear the theme song cry “My Little Pony…” because I feel slightly childish. Then I think “Eh, whatever. Rainbow Dash is awesome”

J-14 Turns to the Nerds

So, I’m in the library right, and a funny idea pops into my head. I took a teen magazine (J-14) and decided to change some of the headlines.

Mad Tea Party

The table was set, piled high with donuts and pretzels. Not to mention the cups of tea. Both of us dressed in some sort of strange outfit and we gathered in my front lawn for a mad tea party. After sipping our tea and acting as if we’d just escaped from a mad house, we had a brief  dance party( in the rain). THEN, the real fun started. I introduced Sophia to My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Needless to say, she loved EVERY. SINGLE. SECOND. Afterwards, we had a mini parade supporting Sherlock. We passed the Ice Cream Dude three times (or was it four?).

It was really fun, and I think we both had a blast!

The Hobbit

We’re pretty excited for the release of The Hobbit. If you haven’t heard about you’ve probably been living in a hole in the ground (ha ha, very funny). So when Zahava and I were given the possibility of attending a midnight showing w knew we had to cosplay something awesome. I was browsing Google Images and saw these awesome cosplays for inspiration. I’ve credited all I can. Harry Potter Fan Art

Well, thanks for stealing what I was going to write about, Sophia. I do have to say, the 11th and 9th Doctors are tied with the 4th for my favorite.

I was just browsing the internet for fan art and stumbled upon these great works of art..

I love how this picture by ElvenAvari was well done, and how the artist added Lily and Sev in the background. It also captures the characteristics of the Marauders.

Why didn’t I get an invitation to this slumber party…I also really like this one by TwiggyMcBones on Deviant art.

Which Doctor?

Is the best Doctor? Oh, the age old question. Sure, I may love every form of the loveable alien but which regeneration is his best? Zahava may reply with the 9th since that was her jumping point (others argue that his one season stand was too short) while I may say the 10th since that’s how this obsession began for me.  But honestly, the more I watch of Doctor Who the harder it gets for me to decide which, is any is truly the best of this great man.

ALL CAPS Dance Party- Happening NOW!

Zahava and I are recovering from an awesome dance party to the nerd rock band ALL CAPS. This occurred when my CD arrived in the mail from DFTBA Records. This has been thoroughly enjoyable even though it’s hot out and we haven’t bothered to turn on the fan. A very merry Summer this has been!

Fish Fingers in Custard?

Sorry for not updating since forrrevverrr!

Well, since the last rime, we’ve had the pleasure of trying fish fingers and custard.

Yes I know, not harry Potter related, I’m not stupid.

It’s actually Dr Who related, and still awesome.

It wasn’t all that bad… I didn’t like the custard, but it tasted good with the fish fingers!
